Nada Clue Review

WARNING SPOILER AHEAD

Nada Clue (2020) is a fun and entertaining short film, directed by David Esposito by the Philly Independent Film Company Mind Palace Pictures. The short is eight minutes long and I wished it was longer because I really loved every second of this film.

From left: David Esposito as Detective Nick Marino and Ryan Crepack as Detective Joel Dean

The premise of the film is about two brainless detectives who investigate a burglary at a young woman’s home. Just as the title says, neither Detectives have Nada Clue of what to do while the victim unbelievably watches and can’t believe what she is seeing. It is great comedic fun. The plot is easy to figure out but it adds to the enjoyment of the film. The jokes are funny and work really well.

The cinematography was great. There was no annoying shaking of the camera and the shot types by Director Esposito were greatly picked out for each scene. The pictures were crisp and the editing was nicely done.

The five characters did a great job. I have to give major props to David Esposito. He not only starred in the film but also directed, edited, produced, translated, and starred as the corky Detective Nick Marino in the film. That’s true dedication! Ryan Crepack plays Detective Joel Dean, Esposito’s partner who was hilarious. He shows his ridicules from start to finish. Jessica Meeley who played the victim Veronica Hernandez did a great job and I don’t know how she didn’t break and smile at the jokes! Very good acting! The news reporters played by Steve Lo Biondo and Pilar Larrota added to the ridicule of the film, especially to the end.

Jessica Meeley as Veronica Hernandez

A lot of people do not know the hard work and dedication to takes to make a film, especially a short film. This was a fun, comedic short film that you can watch to make your quarantined days better for eight minutes. I recommend you check it out. We posted it below for you!
